# Warranty

Every piece of Emberlane brewing gear carries a limited warranty against defects in materials and
workmanship. **None of our warranties are lifetime warranties.**

| [Ridgeline Gooseneck Kettle](https://emberlane-coffee.pages.dev/brewing/ridgeline-kettle) | 1 year | Base, element, and temperature control. Limescale damage is not covered. |
| [Halcyon Pour-Over Brewer](https://emberlane-coffee.pages.dev/brewing/halcyon-brewer) | 1 year | Manufacturing defects only. Ceramic breakage from drops is not covered. |

## What is not covered

* Normal wear — burr dulling after heavy use, cosmetic scratches, fading powder coat.
* **Limescale damage to the Ridgeline Gooseneck Kettle.** Descaling is maintenance, not a defect.

* **Breakage from drops**, including the Halcyon Pour-Over Brewer carafe and ceramic dripper.
* Damage from disassembly beyond what the manual describes.
* Any unit bought second-hand. The warranty is tied to the original order.

## Making a claim

Email the support address with your order number and a photo or short video of the fault. We approve or decline within 2 business days and pay return shipping on approved claims.

Coffee is not covered by warranty. It is covered by
[the returns policy](https://emberlane-help.pages.dev/policies/returns-and-refunds.md) instead.
